Obedience

Basic Obedience establishes the essential communication and skills needed to create a well-mannered, responsive companion. Through six personalized, one-hour private lessons, you’ll learn how to clearly communicate expectations while teaching your dog how to respond consistently in everyday situations.

Training focuses on essential on-leash commands including sit, down, place, stay, heel, and come (recall), while developing engagement, impulse control, leash manners, and consistent follow-through.

More than simply teaching commands, this program gives you the handling skills and understanding needed to reinforce appropriate behavior, establish clear expectations, and build a dependable foundation for more advanced training.

Advanced Obedience builds upon established skills by increasing your dog’s ability to respond reliably as expectations and environmental challenges become more demanding.

Training progressively increases duration, distance, and distraction while strengthening commands such as sit, down, place, stay, heel, and recall. Greater emphasis is placed on responsiveness, impulse control, handler communication, and maintaining obedience around real-world distractions.

The goal is to move beyond simply knowing the commands and develop a dog that can perform them with greater consistency and dependability—preparing you and your dog for advanced group training and greater levels of freedom.
